Cuz personally I couldnt stand him anyway so that kinda pissed me off, and yoda and obi wan's spirit looked the way they did when thay died so that totaly messes everything up!jordenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05153645520388496034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-29585903878322426242009-11-27T23:16:57.288-05:002009-11-27T23:16:57.288-05:00Vader attempts to freeze Luke with no treatment, s...Vader attempts to freeze Luke with no treatment, so Han's torture can't be "synthetic injections" to keep him alive through carbon freezing.David_Nicosonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10761409457882108759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-31798072420349778512009-04-15T16:13:00.000-04:002009-04-15T16:13:00.000-04:00i didnt read all the comments so im not sure if an...i didnt read all the comments so im not sure if anyone brought this up, but in the answer to the question about how Boba Fett saw Han escape in the trash is quite simple.

In the second movie (i think it was the second) Obi Wan uses that same trick against Jango Fett and it works. Since Boba is a clone, and has all jangos skills as a boy, as an adult hed be even more experienced and would remember to check for this trick. He knew the falcon was close, and that it didnt use its hyperdrive to get away (i think the commaders on the ship mention how they do not see any hyperdrive trace on the radar or somehting). It was probably just simple deduction on Fett's part, knowing that the trick exists, and was just exhausting the option just in case, and it just so happened he was correct. Also if you watch closely, Boba Fett is also floating with the trash, its not like he saw solo leaving by chance, he was doing the same thing solo was doing to more effectivley check the trash and see if solo was doing the old trick

Also for the droid memory thing, at the end of episode 3 both R2 and C3PO have their memories wiped of any compromising info, and just leave them being programmed to serve under the organa family, wich would explain why they are wiht Leia on the Tantive in the beggining of episode 4BEUnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-9569877616723929852009-03-23T23:25:00.000-04:002009-03-23T23:25:00.000-04:00Comment on #7. Why can Leia remember Padmé?
Leia is Force sensitive, and while it’s a bit of a fudge, its fair to say that that enables her to remember feelings, images, from the few brief moments between her birth and Padmé’s death.

The truth behind this is that Lucas felt it important that Luke and Leia’s mother be referenced, but having not fleshed the character out fully in his notes, he wrote a line that doesn’t fully mesh with that character’s story, as he eventually told it.

Padmé though, needed to die in Revenge of the Sith. Her fate couldn’t be resigned to the space between films. Now that would be poor storytelling. It’s unfortunate, but considering how these films were made, fairly astonishing that it didn’t happen more frequently.

30. Why does Anakin know how to come back from the dead?
The ability to retain your consciousness upon death comes from your willingness to let go of your physical self and join with the Force. It helps if your death comes through an act of compassionate self sacrifice, as Anakin’s did, but it’s not necessary. Though in Anakin’s case it might have been. However, Anakin would not have been capable of generating a physical form, perhaps being only capable of returning as a disembodied voice (as Qui-Gon did in Clones, or Obi-Wan did near the end of Hope) had it not been for the help given him on the other side, by Obi-Wan and Yoda. This though, is just a detail, one that becomes clearer once its understood that Star Wars’ ultimate message is one of love, passivism, and community.

As an aside to those that think that the Prequel Trilogy caused the problem of the Force ghosts, I’d ask this: How exactly was the Jedi order to have been wiped out, as stated in the Original Trilogy, long before Episode’s I, II and III were scripted, if the JedI themselves were all capable of retaining consciousness following death.

In Episode’s IV, V and VI the question gets buried, but the minute you go back to show that order being destroyed you’re bound to address the issue. The need to show that the spirit form is not something that the Jedi were always capable of while also allowing the effect, and the Force, to retain it’s mystery is why I believe Lucas leaves some ambiguity surrounding the process. But, as I’ve said, once the greater themes are understood, and the character motivations grasped, the Force ghost issue becomes quite clear. Though it won’t be understood on a first viewing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-33334222493701562982008-12-20T14:36:00.000-05:002008-12-20T14:36:00.000-05:00Jon - I'm going by memory here, but didn't they on...Jon - I'm going by memory here, but didn't they only order 3P0's memory at the end of Episode 3?AHRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17574842519173037510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-1363797477285879952008-12-17T23:52:00.000-05:002008-12-17T23:52:00.000-05:00don't know if it was addressed but r2 wouldn't be ...don't know if it was addressed but r2 wouldn't be awkward since he had his memory wiped at the end of episode 3.
also, i feel like yoda would've beaten the emperor if the backup troops hadn't come.Jonah Langhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12047348310470124511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-9164107631027396062008-11-29T17:37:00.000-05:002008-11-29T17:37:00.000-05:00In her message leia DOES say " Help me Obi Wan Ken...In her message leia DOES say " Help me Obi Wan Kenobi" She knows the name Kenobi !Viewfindershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10206695249807744750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-42755696528389389492008-11-10T00:33:00.000-05:002008-11-10T00:33:00.000-05:00#11: Obi-Wan lets Vader kill him because George Lu...#11: Obi-Wan lets Vader kill him because George Lucas realized that Obi-Wan would just be standing around for the rest of the movie with nothing much to do.Regishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15088779615681359391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36983821.post-34880034236921649882008-11-06T22:24:00.000-05:002008-11-06T22:24:00.000-05:00just for reference you don't say "jedis".
