A friend of mine used to subscribe to a Calvin and Hobbes livejournal group and I think this may have been first posted there. Still not as sad as Puff The Magic Dragon.
And let me just say, as a kindergarten/1st grade teacher, ritalin does not steal kids imaginations, it just makes them sit still and stop swearing at the teachers and hitting people. Most of the time.
Dang. I'm double bummed. Just for kicks was going through my C&H collection, and I just couldn't stop reading the last published strip. Just over and over. It's really kinda incredible how powerful this little comic was.
Apparently this has been around the web for a while, and I can't figure out where it originally came from... But it crushes my heart.
