Geekanerd Spotter: TMNT Represent

During my recent trip to San Francisco, I saw this sign outside of Faye's Video, one of the Mission District's finer independent video stores/cafes. And not too hipstered out, apparently, to show a little semi-ironic love to the turtles.

The recent TMNT movie was awful, of course, but it's like the sign says - those turtle boys were there for us when we needed them, so true fans have gotta tough it out during these these dark days of soulless computer-generated dreck. Besides, the fight in the rain was kinda cool. *pained sigh*

You cannot trust those that dwell in the seas (e.g., turtles; dolphins), computer-generated or otherwise. Join the anti-dolphin campaign and stop Pixar from releasing Those Amazing Dolphins! What kind of message are we sending to our children? Dolphins are godless killing machines.

I do agree that the sea is a horrible soup of hidden monsters. But turtles, or terrapins, can also be found on land and freshwater, so I give them a pass. The TMNT probably more accurately tortoises. So the acronym still works.

Dolphins, though...let's just say you have my attention. I don't trust animals that always look like they're smiling. No one is that happy for any wholesome reason.
