Every Thursday on Geekanerd, our man Johnny clues you in on the best new web game of the week...

For all you
Myst fans out there, the internet provides a vast array of point-and-click “pixel hunt” games.
Daymare Town, recently created by
Mateusz Skutnikf, is a great example this genre of flash games. The premise: you’re stuck in a dreary and slightly nightmarish ghost town called Daymare and you have to find a way to get out. Though the premise and the hand-drawn aesthetic (which I find beautiful) seem simple, the game itself is anything but. Finding your way out of Daymare entails solving a series of puzzles that are at first seemingly counter-intuitive and with pieces that are disconnected. Check it out!
Strategies: This is slightly considered cheating, but using the tab key in each and every screen will reveal a yellow box over all the areas that are clickable (it’s a function of Flash). The other strategy is patience!

Slightly?
Well, you still have to figure out what everything does and where everything goes.
