When Zombies Attack...Kindergarteners

Halloween is coming, and that means there will be even more zombie coverage on Geekanerd than usual. This picture recently came to our attention, and it's the most creative, funny, and only slightly disturbing spins on the zombie concept we've seen in a while. Pay particular attention to the lighting; all the zombie kids seem to be shrouded in darkness, even though it's a bright sunny day, giving the junior survivors an extra dash of wholesomeness in contrast. It gives the whole thing a very triumphant vibe, making it belivable that these kids will come out alive. Maybe.

This piece is by artist Jason Chan, who gained notoriety for winning the first Last Man Standing art throwdown on ConceptArt.org. His other work on ConceptArt isn't as geeky as the zombie kids piece, though there's still some great art and fans of softcore tentacle pron will certainly find a lot to enjoy. The zombie kids piece was his winning entry for the second round of the current Last Man Standing contest. It got him to the third round, but his next piece was defeated by the picture below, by Baron Impossible:

Geek Speek: Debating U R MR GAY

Geekanerd jumps through flame war hoops and fights off trolls to bring you the best and worst in internet commentary...
Internet wizkids have discovered that some letters on the official boxart for the upcoming (I can't wait!) Wii game Super Mario Galaxy have little flares on their bottom corners... And those letters spell out "U R MR GAY." Coincidence? Boxart design by a thirteen year old Halo player? Even funnier than that awesome joke I just stole from Megaton News are some comments that the site's readers left on the story.
