Disturbing Chritmas Wishes From The Joker

Unless you have a serious aversion to LedJoker impressions and/or disturbing Santa Claus iconography, this video is a virtual lock for Geek Christmas card of the year.

This is an off-shoot from the fanvid series Batman: The Joker Blogs, which, despite a terrible title, is startlingly good and will probably get it's own post eventually once I've had time to collect myself. Seriously, even if you're not feeling the Xmas vid above (dude kind of falters at the deep 'n' scary Joker voice, I know), you'll probably still want to check out The Joker Blogs. As fan tributes go, TJB is an extremely well written, well acted, and dare I say insightful piece of work, and when he departs from Heath's line readings and starts inhabiting the character on his own, dude's Joker impression is something special.

How To Twitter Your Way Through Alien and Zombie Invasions

You may have seen the Twitter Timeline During Zombie Attack mock-up that was a big smash on Digg about a month ago...by the time I saw it, it was too late to post. But I bookmarked the excellent blog from whence it came, Kensington Victoria, and what do you know, blogger extraordinare Andrew posted a sequel.

I present an excerpt from Twitter Timeline During Alien Invasion. Click for the full version!

And in case you missed it, here's a sample from the equally awesome (and slightly scary) Zombie edition.

Love these. On the comment thread at KV, I suggested future installments might include The Rapture and a Day After Tomorrow type catastrophe. Anyone else have ideas of sci-fi/horror global crisises that Twitizens could document?

Bonus: My other favorite piece of Twitter humor (also the episode of Rocketboom that made me fall for Joanne Colan, after the jump...

Favorite moment at 2:53. I love me some desperation.

"Everything That Has Transpired Has Done So According To My Design!" - George Lucas

Here's the winner of a recent Cracked.com photoshop contest, 20 Insane Supervillain Schemes In Flowchart Form. Oh if only Lucas was truly an evil villain with a malicious scheme to crush the souls of those who love him most, at least I could still respect the man. This winning entry is by Mortal Wombat, AKA Christina H, who also co-wrote this list of The Top 8 Least-Threatening Comic Book Villians (WARNING: Much belittling of the Batman Rogues).

Notes on the other entries after the jump...

None of the other 19 flowcharts are even close to being as fun and on-point as this one, and some may offend your eyes with their loud and proud use of Photoshop. Notable runner ups include Magneto's scheme (#17), which has a deadpan charm to it, followed by what amounts to a sort of incoherent visual poem dedicated to Scientology's bid for world domination(#16). Chart #6 is that already excruciatingly played out There Will Be Blood meme, and #2 features some of that weird Hitler-Humor that a certain sect of internet humorists seem to like so much.

For those not in the know, Cracked.com doesn't really have anything in common with Cracked Magazine, the canceled Mad Magazine clone. Cracked.com is instead a CollegeHumor clone, and pumps these List articles out like they're going out of style, which, if Digg users are to be believed, they are not.

Frank Miller's 1776

I know, I know, 300 parodies are so last week's meme. But I find this bit from Robot Chicken highlarious.

UPDATE: Those Cartoon Network folks pulled the video from YouTube. You can view the whole Robot Chicken episode at their website. Ehh, what's wrong with these people? More people seeing your show = more people making an effort to see your show = more money made from advertisers for your show.
